The pharaohs were the most important people in ancient Egypt. The pharaohs were called a god on earth. They controlled everyone and everything that was going on in Egypt. They had to make important decisions and have to lead the wars. The youngest pharaoh of Egypt was King Tut. He was only nine years old when he took the thrown and died at the age of twenty. His death is a mystery.
A scribe was an important writer in Egypt. Only boys could be scribes. They went to scribe school for a very long time to master how to write. They kept records and wrote important things down in hieroglyphics. The scribes wrote on clay tablets and papyrus. If you were good you could work for the pharaoh.
The pyramid was an important building in Egypt. When the pharaohs died their body was put into the pyramids to go to the afterlife. The pyramid held all of the king’s treasures. There would be clothes, food, water, wine, and a lot more things for you to take to the afterlife. It took over twenty years for farmers to build the giant pyramids. One of the Seven Wonders of the World is the Great Pyramid of Giza.
So, now you know so much about pharaohs, scribes, and pyramids you could be an archeologist about Egypt. Egypt has a lot more discoveries to be uncovered and you have some more learning to do about Egypt.
